FAQ's

Changing management companies seems complicated. Is it really? It can be, if managed incorrectly. Because most management agency changes are due to the Board's dissatisfaction with the previous provider, there might be some friction. APG will interface with your 'old' company to obtain records and reports to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. APG can act as the primary point of contact with your old provider so the process can take place professionally.
-
We are already under contract with another company. Are we stuck?Simply put, the best time to transition is when the Board is ready to make a change. A good first step is to review your current contract, if you have one. Your current company must provide you with a copy, if you ask. Many prospective clients simply share their exisiting contract with APG so we can offer advice and guidance. You may think, or be told, that you are 'stuck,' but this is almost never the case. Changing management companies may seem daunting, but APG will handle the transition and coordinate the transfer of finds, records and other information.
-
We are never sure how exactly much we are being billed for services and repairs. Can APG help? Some competitors charge undisclosed upcharges and 'convenience fees' or 'management fees' in addition to the amounts actually paid to vendors. Some prefer to hold the HOA's money in an account that only they can access, and provide cryptic reports about what was paid to whom. We don't do this. APG insists that all of its client Boards have direct access to ALL banking activity in real time, 24x7. Bank accounts are held in the name of the HOA, not our company. Our accounting reports are clear and transparent, and are provided to each Board member every month.
-
Our community is new, and the HOA has just been 'handed-over' from the builder. Can you help get us off to a good start?"The handover phase is a critical time for an HOA. To set the stage for a successful future, lots of tasks are required. Establishing and implementing well thought-out processes for covenant enforcement, new construction, or architectural modifications are important. APG can help you through it all!
-
Other management companies want to give us their 'cookie-cutter' solution. How is APG different?APG has all of the capabilities of the 'big guys,' but has the flexibility to tailor a solution that fits your community's needs. We listen to what your HOA needs, and provide a solution that works for you. We won't 'oversell' you, or try to make you adapt how you do things for our convenience. Some clients prefer to pay their own bills, or want to do their own enforcement inspections. Some Boards want to choose seasonal flowers, and choose their own lifeguards. That's OK with us.
-
How does APG manage HOA finances? All of your HOA's funds are deposited in banking accounts that are 'owned' by the HOA, not APG, and are always visible to HOA Board members. HOA officers have the ability to make banking transactions, too. APG is granted online, trackable access to make deposits and pay approved bills, and to prepare periodic financial reports. It's the HOA's money, not ours!
-
Is APG a new company?Nope... APG was founded in 1987. It's current owner and President has been employed here since 2001.
